I loved this book. I am biased as she is married to a cousin but I found the story so refreshing and it has been very well researched. I think it would make a good tv drama. It is so different from all the depressing, dark and, sometimes violent dramas we now get on tv. It tells the story of the region of Italy where The Chestnut House is located and the history of recent wars whilst also weaving an intriguing story centred around to unrelated women. As I said, I loved the book.
