It was pure silliness, genius & stupidity rolled into one! Yes, I get that folks will either love it or hate it, but having grown up in this era & have even watched those documentaries on the cereal wars, it’s comedic genius with no expectations. So many great actors playing silly roles. I thought Hugh Grant was hilarious… his character poking fun at his wanting to be taken seriously as an actor …just like in real life. Couple of times, it comes close to crossing a line….like the astronaut blowing up…but the movie never lingers, it moves on. Please remember to watch it in the spirit it was made….nothing is sacred & everything from that era can be satirized.
