This book was a huge disappointment. Having already read a couple of books on the subject recently, this book did not touch on the history of the Murdaugh dynasty and Alex's numerous character flaws, however it did give more than enough information on the author and her personal life. Not what you would expect, and definitely not focused on the subject matter. Other books gave detailed descriptions on the clients of the Murdaugh law firm, Paul's issues, the autopsy reports, employees of the Murdaugh family, the trial...this author even asked the question in her book "who is Blanca" after listening to recorded phone calls between Alex behind bars and Buster. If she had bothered to do any real research, she would have known that Blanca was the family housekeeper (hired after the death of Gloria Satterfield).
I don't care that the author became engaged, went on vacations, and eventually was offered "life-changing money" for her podcast. Shameless self promotion. This book is not worth your time. I give this book a minus 1 except there isn't a minus option.
