One of those "films" that tries too hard for too long to please pretentious people. I understood the movie, the overarching plot and the themes but it absolutely falls flat. Some of the cinematography as absolutely beautiful and the acting was top notch, but despite that this movie is just pandering to the big bang crowd of people that want to say they are smart for watching it. It's a 3 hour fever dream with a loosely tied plot trying to use surrealism as an excuse. 1/5 stars, spend 3 hours staring at a wall, it's a better use of your time.

The cinematography was beautiful, the director of photography deserves an Oscar but that is about it as far as the glowing part of the review goes. The plot was mediocre, the things I love about John wick were thrown out the window. One of the best parts of John Wick were (past tense) the possible realism of the action. The amount of cars John wick got hit by would cause any insurance company to lose their business. So much of this movie was over the top, they took what once was a believable story and threw it out the window. Seeing sparks fly from a "Kevlar suit" repeatedly was a huge cop out. It was like watching a video game, not a believable story. Was hoping for more from the legacy of these films.
