I'm angry that I bought this book. I did so on the cover recommendation by Esquire and that apparently it was New York Times best seller.
I rapidly got sick of the author's witticisms. He seems like someone who has never grown up. Get on with the story man. A book about friends walking through the woods should be enjoyable. even enriching. Instead I found his behaviour childish.
By comparison read Sebastian Junger's
book "Freedom". For much of a year, Junger and three friends followed the rail lines across the US.
