Found this book to be extraordinary, and yes I am a white middle-class women. But I have read hundreds of books reflecting a different gender, race, and culture than the author who wrote it. Those harassing the author because she is not Hispanic and told an Hispanic story are in my opinion totally out of line. Shame on you. You should be thanking this author for writing such an incredibly moving story and getting more of us to rethink our position on immigration.
