I loved the books. They were a fantastic series. My second favourite of all time and contrary to popular belief I loved and appreciated the long winded storytelling. It just made the enjoyment last longer. Having seen the trailer for the tv adaptation I was excited and equally dubious. After watching the first episode I was even more so concerned with how they would develop and interpret the books. 3 episodes in and I'm holding out for next week's episodes. Some major elements (likeAmy herself) deviated from the book but it's overall a good adaptation thus far. Excited to continue watching
