Anthony is the absolute worst... based on his actions, I would put him between 18-21 years old. His wife seems wayyy too mature to be with him, yet, it seems like she supports his nonsense. I would be so embarrassed if my husband was arguing with a woman in my presence. the way he did Chelsea (I think that's her name). His whole vibe is that of a weak man who is trying so hard to play grown-up, hence, the made-up "man's movement." Didn't even seem real for a second. I also believe he lied on Brandon and made up a story so that he could be assured to get screen time. AND, I think he tried to low-key bully Brandon throughout the season just because he thought he could. I was really hoping that Brandon would just scream out one day, "BRO- I'm taken!"
I was looking forward to the show, because Detroit has such a rich history for our community, and it has been so under-represented currently. I thought I would be watching a series about beautifully thriving black couples/families, but it was so far from the case. The wives are just okay, but the men lack any real substance. What do they do for a living? How do they support their families?
I kept watching thinking it would get better, and also because I truly want to support the show and the channel; but, it was a big disappointment. Even Carlos was struggling to make the cast seem interesting during Part 1 of the reunion. Detroit- YES... I would love to see more. With these couples- it's a hard NO for me. PLEASE reboot/re-cast, whatever you have to do.
