This movie started promising and what you would expect a zombie genre would, humans making decisions that generally end poorly given the circumstances,
A woman who is in denial of her loss peeks out of the house, starting a chain of reactions and people dying. The husband sacrificing himself at first so his wife could run away with the kid they found, but later in a moment of weakness and scuffles, abandons them to flee.
Sadly, the plot becomes immeasurably stupid after that and it just made the whole movie unwatchable. The kids went outside the safe zone so they are quarantined with a soldier watching when they are brought back - but their mother, whom was thought dead, had survived through unknown methods but was not securely locked down until clinical checks were completed, so her guilt ridden husband could just sneak in and get himself infected - worse, the new lone zombie proceeds to successfully keep infecting new victims practically unimpeded in what was supposed to be a secure miltary zone, you know, the "safe zone". Then they lock citizens inside a large area but neglected a door on the OTHER SIDE where the same lone zombie broke in and had a cornered buffet ready for him since no soldier was posted inside to protect the people - And this is just the start of the new outbreak, while the stupidity didnt end until the movie did.
At this point it just feels lazy and poor writing at play.
