Escape Room: 2.5/5* I enjoyed Escape Room for what it is, namely B-horror group puzzle/survival/escape. It borrowed heavily from Cube, Saw (but with much less gore and body horror), and had a kind of Final Destination vibe to it as well. There are many movies in this subgenre beyond those mentioned i.e. Exam, Fermat's Room, Killing Room, My Little Eye, and many others. This one lands very much in the middle of other higher quality versions, but is still enjoyable. Nearly gave it a 3, but found it was a little too predictable and the ending was slightly contrived. All that said, it was still enjoyable and I look forward to the sequel.
