I’ve loved every Jack Reacher book I’ve read by Lee Child. This is the first I’ve read co-authored with Andrew Child and I was very disappointed.
The plot felt weak, in contrast to the strong plots and challenging issues raised in the Lee Child series.
I found some writing dull, including bland and pointlessly detailed descriptions and the style of overly short sentences became irritating.
Reacher’s character and the two principal women characters were, in my opinion, 2 dimensional and this remained throughout the book.
Reacher also made decisions that seemed right out of character- in the last chapter, for example, why take on hand to hand combat with a guy who had already beaten him once when he has a gun?
Anyway, I’m not going to read another Lee-Andrew combo.
