I had mixed feeling at first when I watched the first episodes, but after a while I liked it. I understand why people hate it, but at the same time, I completely disagree with all the hate. Now I'm not blind or stupid. And neither are fans like me. Sure, it's nothing like the Thomas we grew up with, but what people need to understand is that this a reboot and it's doing it's own thing. And that bashing this show to death and lashing out at people like me who don't hate the reboot will only make you out to be a hate-driven extremists or short-sight, not to mention toxic, bigots. The show is not that bad. I dare say it's charming in a way.
