It was all over the place. Especially Rachel’s character. She has straight hair out of nowhere and then she doesn’t. She had time to read his entire novel in a night, but took an eternity to read her mother’s journal, which by the way could’ve concluded her misunderstandings. That was just the peak of the iceberg as to what didn’t sit right about the story.
