Heinosuke Gosho's "An Inn at Osaka", is a treat that lingers on for two hours and two minutes, with beautiful blocks and a comforting background score.
Almost every in this black and white gem is subtle and adequate in their craft with the exception of Mr Noro, who is unusually loud and breaks the otherwise meticulous symphony.
Though 'slice of life' in terms of the storyline, multiple sub plots blend social, economical and gender based hierarchies making the film a fascinating, wholesome watch.
A must watch for cinema lovers, especially those who have a soft spot for Japanese Cinema.
