Over 60 years ago, I watched the first episode of Doctor Who. With "my" 4th Doctor, Tom Baker, I traveled the universe, experiencing epic stories and witnessing the fate of entire alien species. On my travels, I learned that all perspectives are relative. In the modern era, I have watched as the Doctor has been reduced to a tiny, self-absorbed creature, prone to hysterical, emotional outbursts, overly concerned with their own and other’s identity. The Doctor is an ALIEN, a Time Lord. We (and they) shouldn’t care about the color of their skin or the equipment under their clothes. "He/She" distinctions shouldn't even apply. They are ALIEN. The Doctor will always be a 10—a hero, a role model. Evil forces have reduced the current incarnation to a zero. One day, the Doctor will return.
