A not to be missed drama, featuring some of the finest performances, subtle direction, and flat-out, the best soundtrack of it's era. Manages to touch upon many social issues still unresolved today, yet remains focused on characters many of whom will resonate to viewers on an emotional level. Just think, the Oscar went to Braveheart that year, LOL.
