I'm a huge fan of the first Gladiator (saw it in the theatre when it came out) but part II was pretty disappointing. It's a poorly written script and parts of the movie just being absurd. The cinematography however was top notch as expected from Ridley Scott. CGI was extensively used in the movie but it felt so natural (unlike the Avatar movies for example). Overall, a disappointing movie experience.
