I just finished the whole series (painful as it was) and as a enthusiastic Civil War buff, I can honestly say this series is more woke than historically accurate. The main story line is cluttered with woke incidents, woke language and woke lecturing that makes the series, unfortunately, largely unwatchable to anyone who has read/studied this era.
Very, very disappointing!
