Holly Jackson has now become the author in my life who brings back the taste of a good read especially I'm drowning in the grief of prolonged reader's block . Honestly one of the best young adult novel writers who do not unnecessarily beat around the bush and get to the plot in the nicest way possible. What is tricky though in thrillers of such kind is to give it all a good sense at the end for the readers and this author does it with so much ease... The characters are not overtly complicated , the format is easy to catch up on , easier to comprehend the storyline but still has the gripping sense of suspense..... A good read after A WHILE ♥️

Revolving around Frances Javier , a top notch student grinding all day for a good college and Aled Last , a secretive and an overall hushed guy , the story explores self identity and it's significance in a beautiful way . As the story walks ahead in it's pace , it unfolds a revelation when it's out there that the creater of 'Universe City ' ( a podcast Frances is obsessed with) is infact Aled . Frances gradually becomes closer with Aled , understanding him from a deeper perspective and simultaneously loving to be unapologetically and fearlessly ,herself . When this fragile settlement and trust between the two break , Frances is left to confront the reality of who she is and who she wanted to be as well as her past which involved Carys and her disappearance. Though sublte there might be a sense of relatableness with Frances , on a number of instances where perhaps we seem confused as to who we truly are versus what we want to be . As the beautiful cover of the book says ' Listen to your own voice ' , a theme which emerges out of the book successfully, this book by Alice Oseman stands to be a must read for all !

'Secret of the Nagas' inspite of being the second book in the series 'Shiva Trilogy',provides immense details and information which ultimately causes no problem for the reader to understand the storyline , without completing the first book . This infact is a great ability of Amish . Talking about the book , it can be described as a gripping tale with a great combination of action , thrill , romance and accessible philosophy . The secrets will keep the readers thinking and guessing and ultimately having the secret revealed at the end of the story it turns out to be the greatest satisfaction . The entire story is infact a an interpretation of the rich mythological heritage which is blended with historical facts.Winding this up , I'd like to mention that Amish never disappoints and Shiva Trilogy is the best of his work . 'Secret of the Nagas' is a must read !

Amish penned down one of the best book I've read so far. There's no possible way to explain how immensely obsessed I was with the book. Besides being extremely appealing and absorbing , it is very thrilling. The author's viewpoint of a perfect and sumptuous empire is very impressive . I wish we had one like the Meluhan city which is beautiful beyond imagination and her citizens are God-like . The title has also been very aptly put . Shiva being the perfect protagonist with incredible versatility, an extremely kind soul , a dedicated warrior and a passionate lover , adds up to the good side of the book and captivates the reader very much. Sati symbolises women empowerment and the author has portrayed the character in a beautiful way . Practically speaking, it's a deep loss for any good reader if he/she averts this series .....As mentioned by Deepak Chopra , it indeed unfolds the deepest recesses of the soul.. 'The Immortals of Meluha' is a must read..!
