In many ways, I thought this movie was a comedy, but as I watched it, I began to realize they were actually trying to be serious. From the moment the movie started it was unrealistic. The taking over of a military base by a bunch of fugitives and the continual bombing of banks and killing of other people was just unrealistic. While they try to make these rebels into heroes, freedom fighters, representatives of the oppressed, the reality is they are anything but. One of the biggest contradictions is while they’re trying to escape and their martial arts teacher is part of the rebel group. He has people sleeping in his building, women and children in hallways with just a pillow and a sheet on the floor. I could not figure out how these people are helping the poor by having them live a lifestyle where they’re simply working and coming back to a place where all the worldly possessions are in a hallway and an area of about 6 x 8‘. While there are some good moments in the movie, overall it fails to be a suspense, drama, or a comedy. Wait for it to come on Netflix or prime when you can watch it for free.
