Sabrina Rathbun

This movie had *no business* being OVER two hours long. The majority of the acting hovers around or below the acting quality in a tv movie, as do the wardrobes. All of the clothing/Nazi uniforms are pristine and cheap, like clothes from a school play. The same two or three points were repeated ad nauseum, to the point of wanting to bang my head off the wall. About 1% was "spy" work and 1.5% was about an assassination plot-- of which Bonhoeffer had very little involvement. The opening scene was enough to let me know this movie would be a slog, but I stayed because *maybe* it would get better-- it did not. Don't bother-- Go see anything else.

I'm not adding any spoilers or specifics, because even if a movie is (mostly) garbage, I still don't want to ruin it for others. The main actor was great in his role. That and the very end scene with his wife are the only things saving the movie from a one-star rating.  Honestly, watch the first few minutes to establish the father and daughter's relationship and then come back an hour and fifteen minutes later. That's it, that's all you need to summarize the whole movie.

The acting was good and the cinematography was overall nice. However, I was nearly bored to tears, waiting for something interesting to happen in the film. In the beginning, some interest was set up, but didn't pay off for me. I haven't considered of walking out of a movie before but this dragged. The last few minutes are interesting, besides that this movie was dull and not for me.

It was a fun, campy type movie. I had no idea what the movie was about before going to the theater. The movie doesn't hold back. If you don't like bloody murders, not much gore, you should probably skip this one.
