Today on the view, regarding OJ Simpson. I was Sorely disappointed regarding the assumption that the mostly African American jury did not have the judgement or right to find O J Innocent. Again disrespecting their perspective that white police officers plant evidence on black suspects all the time. The prosecutors put a known racist who "gathered evidence on the stand which historically happens, however OJ had the money and resources to fight for himself which is a luxury most blacks don't have. That angered many who feel their opinion and world view is the only ones that matter, once again trying to nullify the experiences of black people. Know One dismisses the deaths of Nicole and Ron, but to assume that OJ did it also assumes that your opinion has more weight and validity than mine and the hundreds of thousands of black people especially the juniors. We know, whether rich or poor blacks and other people of color are assumed guilty until proven innocent and even afterwards. White jury's no matter their verdict are assumed to react without bias or prejudice, they convict black people daily without review or question of their intelligence or integrity. OJ was prounounced innocent and should have been given that benefit such as any other defendant who is tried by a jury of their peers. Our legal system should not be for whites only. I do not know if OJ was innocent or guilty; know one does, unless they were present and no such evidence was presented. Sara, your not saying his name does not mean he does not have a name; His name is O J Simpson, and he meant something to the black community.
