Liked this book. Listened to the audio version. I have some mixed feelings about the author. I appreciated the factual events and the quardry the author found himself in with the Trump election. His prospective tends to color his conclusions and I was disappointed in his approach to the challanges offered by the Trump administration. Why not tell Trump the unvarnished truth when asked how the FBI folks felt about the Directors firing? When asked, Isn;t that the job? Why not give the Director your best estimate of why it was not a good idea to go public with the conclusions of the Clinton investigation. I guess I would attributie these inactions to the author having been involved so long in a burecratic environment, where confrontation was not good for your career. I had no doubt about the authors dedication to what he thought was right for the country. Good read!
