This is supposed to be a children’s book??? I read this when I was little and it was absolutely traumatizing. It keeps me up at night thinking about (not in a good way) and I wish I could go back in time and never even read it in the first place. Children don’t need to read about animals dying and being abused in order to learn about empathy. This was honestly just way too much and should never have been sold at school book fairs.
