This was a good movie! Not perfect, but a good story and a refreshing return to Middle Earth. It feels very Tolkein-esque, in a way that is lacking in other IPs, like Rings of Power, and has a good storyline with good characters. This is a good-faith adaptation of Tolkein's works. While sometimes the animation may feel clunky, I forgive it because the story is engaging and makes up for it. It's not a masterpiece, but it is worthy of praise and Tolkein fans should feel encouraged to check it out for themselves!
