This movie is a blender of what ever they could think of. The predalien made sense.... sort of. The rest not so much. There is no clear timeline and they brought out every horror movie generic character they could think of. They mixed a high-school horror film character with the small town bad boy, adding in the lost sheriff and the soldier coming home. None of them feel like a main character. Then it bounces all over the place in stories while trying to use the predator to pull it together. And it seems like they were desperate to bring in yutani corporation in the middle of all of it. They leave out things from the 1st that would be important. *spolier warning* where are the rest of the predators from the ship. 1 predalien wouldn't do enough damage for the size of that ship. They shrank the ship from the 1st movie. They really could've done better there. You could have had the predalien escape the ship, then bring the predator in to search for a unique/rare trophy. Have it land near a small town and cause issues from there. A mid-size town could be run ragged by an alien. Then use the soldier as the main character. She could easily assisting the predator to kill or be trying to kill the predalien to protect her daughter. They really could've done so much better.
