While the movie definitely had its cringe moments and especially corny scenes it’s definitely been added to my top 5 favorite movies. I feel like the actress portrayed her role perfectly with the script provided. Although, the cringe scenes came in regarding Nina, I feel like Alex’s character was a “pick me” when she was just endlessly complimenting Nina when it was obvious there was tension between her and Brad. Aside from the whole Brad and Nina thing I did feel real chemistry between Alex and Brad. Alex and Garrett were great too and I really liked them till it showed how overwhelmed he was by “messiness and complications” like her loud friends and messy house. The relationship between the mom and Alex was very heart warming but I did feel bad for her siblings as it seems the mom was more nonchalant and showed less regard for their feelings. Overall I feel like this really highlighted how we as a society settle for stability and normalcy instead of going out and living a full life because we are scared of the consequences.
