I have read every Gabriel Allon book in order up to this one. In The Order, Daniel Silva relentlessly attacks the foundation of the Word of God and faith in Jesus Christ. It was insulting to Christians of every race and around the world. Because of the travesties that have been committed towards Jews, he feels justified in presenting a one-sided attack against the divinity of Jesus, the Gospels, and all Christians. He then proceeds to attack the political right of center. Silva would do well to realize that the American Christian church is the best friend Israel has. It is clear from his writing that he despises the man who fought to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem, negotiated the Abraham accords, and has stood by Israel at every turn. I have read every one of his Allon novels up to this one. This was a shock and disappointment. Sadly, I have read my last Silva “novel”… sadly, I finish with a bitter taste in my mouth from a diatribe instead of a thriller.
