EXTREMELY UNSATISFIED with Netflix's Avatar is my final verdict. Everything i loved about the Nickelodeon series, completely wiped. Characters are not how I remembered them to be, character growth non existent and the pacing is like on steroids. That bad parts about Netflix's Avatar. - the casting of Aang. the kid had zero Aang essence. ill-suited to be Aang to say the least. - the non existent Aang-Katara relationship/attraction - the disappointing earthbending - that Sokka gets heavily underutilized and all the fun about him poking fun at girls in a goofy way gets sucked away from the series - that the showrunners tried to tell too much by telling too much The good parts about Netflix's Avatar - the bloody brilliant Uncle Iroh. Honestly the real star of the 8 episodes. - Zuko was pretty damn decent. - Sokka carrying team Avatar literally. All in I say this would be a decent watch for someone of Gen Z or never watched Avatar growing up. But for anyone who loved Avatar to bits, this is rather disappointing.
