3 stars because I read the review and am a little confused. I see a lot of people trying to explain the movie, when in reality it is based on The 120 Days of Sodom a novel by Marquis de Sade. The reviewers seem to try to explain the movie as if the director came up with the idea; the concept is entirely in the book and you guys can read it if you are still curious.
