This book has to be one of the most impactful books I've read in a long time. I'm reading it right now in class, but it intrigued me so much that I just had to read ahead. Even though there are a lot of characters in The Outsiders, S.E Hinton still does a great job in giving them proper character development until the end, somehow. I also love how the author doesn't fail to "sugarcoat" reality, due to the events that happen in the story that show the unfortunate reality of life. Overall, this book is a great read, so...Go read it!
