Whimsical and hilarious! The extremely fertile imagination of the hedgehog brought me to tears with laughter. While this is a feel good book…it also reminds one of the many times we drive ourselves crazy through worrying too much over small issues. Sometimes just doing is better than overthinking. We need to rein in that ‘monkey brain’.

This is an excellent book explaining the basic facts and realities of why transitioning away from fossil fuels to a net zero world is challenging, difficult and will take a long time. There are no quick fixes; a fact that green activists don’t acknowledge and governments are culpable for refusing to introduce sensible, thoughtful policies. Too much of kicking the can down the road these days.

The main takeaway of the book is that the world has changed and the West is asleep and not adapting to the change. However, the author doesn’t develop the concept sufficiently. The book is more a hodgepodge of quotes from speeches made by politicians and he picks comments that supports his broad narrative. Nothing original in his views and neither does he show a deep understanding of the key countries discussed (China, Russia or Central Asia).
