As everybody else has already said, New Vegas is the best Fallout game ever released, and is personally one of my favorite games of all time. You can get it on steam for dirt cheap during a sale, but standard pricing is still worth it, a suggestion I can make is that you should go in as blind as you can, that'll give you the best experience.
