David Suchet IS Poirot. He humanizes him perfectly.This series is amazing and entertaining with lovable characters and brilliant acting. Poirot is a deep, dimensional detective who is sensitive, extremely intelligent, and eccentric. The earlier seasons have a comforting quality and great chemistry between the gang, the later seasons have a film noir type that has some emotional episodes that are brilliantly filmed. The only "bad" thing for me is that there is race stereotypes and many casual racism towards Asians- the Chinese specifically. This will probably not offend non-Asians but for Asian people it is tiring to see us portrayed and talked about this way. Then again, this show is from a different time period and set in a different time period.

The fact that non-Koreans are defending something that romanticizes the violence and atrocities committed towards Koreans during the 80s is repulsive. And they tell Koreans not to be angry? YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT OUR HISTORY, OUR PAIN, IT IS NOT YOUR PLACE TO SAY ANYTHING JUST BECAUSE YOU LIKE AN IDOL. HOW DARE YOU IDOLIZE OUR COUNTRY BUT SUPPORT SOMETHING SO HARMFUL.

I feel like the people that like this movie have no knowledge of Pride and Prejudice beforehand because this is not it. While the Darcy and Elizabeth in this movie DO have chemistry and the actors are good. They are not Darcy and Elizabeth at all. If you want to see an accurate and enjoyable version, watch the 1995 BBC series (which real Austen fans would enjoy) and this movie will look like nonsense compared to it. Also nothing in this film is realistic to the time period or accurate to the book. From the styling to the living situation, it's all inaccurate and unrealistic. This is a beautiful movie, in terms of the actors and the cinematography but it is an insult to Pride and Prejudice. It's also shameful that nowadays when people say "Pride and Prejudice" they refer to this film and not the book or the '95 series, when this film isn't Pride and Prejudice at all.

A lot of people are mad because she didn't end up with Sun oh but the fact that Jojo ended up with Hye Yeong makes this drama great. It is so real. In every drama, the second lead always gets pushed aside and the ending is expected where the female would end up with the first lead. I don't think Jojo and Hey Yeong had as much chemistry as Jojo and Sun Oh in the first season because of limited scenes together (although some interactions were very cute) but in the second season, every moment together makes your heart flutter. They are so cute together. Hye Yeong truly deserves her. I guess because we fans did not get what we expected with every drama, some feel betrayed. But I don't understand how people can prefer Sun Oh and Jojo over Hye Yeong and Jojo. Yeah the first pair was more unique but the second one is more real. TAKE AWAY AND ERASE Sun Oh's appearance and cool bad-boy vibe. What you get is not somebody who is as sweet and considerate as Hye Yeong. He's not as attractive or a good partner. As for the acting, it was good.The plots and directing were okay. I wish they fleshed out Sun Oh's character more. He seemed like a regular rich kid who had his own struggles but his personality was very dull. People always see the good in very good looking people but I see some psychopathic behaviors in Sun Oh. He is kind of reckless and acts without thinking. It's not charming to me as a viewer. There is also little depth and layers. Hye Yeong is a sweet genuine guy, he is very normal in the first season but during the second season, it opens our eyes to his struggles and his character and we really fall for him. Love isn't always about when your heart flutters and immediate attraction. Relationships grow and bloom. Hye Yeong and Jojo are a good example of this. Although I must sayJojo has some character deficiencies. Her actions are impulsive and sometimes it's hard to see the reason behind them. Although she is a young girl with challenges to face, she is not always likable. I will just rate it 5 stars because I like the second season.
