The story is set in the late 1970s. Hence, you won't find scenes of people talking on mobile phones.
The story is about a 40 year old man, Nagendran (Suraj Venjaramoodu), who is unemployed, unmarried and lazy. He lives with his mother. He does not want to take any responsibilities and hence, does not want to get married. Hence, there is always a quarrel between Nagendran and his mother. Fed up of the quarrels with his mother and criticisms from society, he decides to go to Persia for employment purposes. However, he does not have money for visa. There is no one who could help him with the money required for visa purposes. Hence, Nagendran's friend, Soman (Alexander Prasanth), who is a marriage broker, tries to convince Nagendran to marry a girl from the vicinity (who has a liking for Nagendran), by saying that Nagendran will get a good amount of dowry from the marriage, which will help Nagendran in getting visa. Initially hesitant, the naive Nagendran agrees to the marriage. But, after the marriage, Nagendran does not get any dowry and the plan fails.
An angry Nagendran leaves his house and along with his friend, Soman, look out for girls, who are desparate for marriage and whose families are ready to offer dowry, if Nagendran is ready for marriage. One girl is 6 months pregnant from a lover, who has absconded, one is a psycho with mental issues, one is a murderer and one is a prostitute. Once the marriage with one girl is over, Nagendran will abscond with the money along with his friend, Soman on the wedding first night itself. Since the money received as dowry from one marriage would not be sufficient, they use the same modus operandi with the other girls as well. Nagendran changes his name for every marriage alliance. He gives fake names when marrying different women.
All of these fraudulent acts are committed by Nagendran and his friend, Soman, so that Nagendran can fund his visa for Persia.
However, things are not as easy as it seems.
The twist in the end is both mind-blowing and funny. The supporting cast did a good job, including Kalabhavan Shajohn, who is the brother of the psycho girl and also a police officer.
Ramesh Pisharody also played a good part.
