When going into any show which revolves around magical beasts and powers, any person would expect every problem to be solved through the flick of a wand. This show did not. While giving the detective vibes people crave when it comes to these kinds of shows, it uses its fantasy elements as a twist while keeping real-world problems into play, showing the realism in the selfishness which comes from detective work. Being a mix between Harry Potter and the song "I'm in love with an emo girl" by Machine Gun Kelly, this show is a perfect example of a modern depiction of what magic would be today, showing the fact that not only social media will always be prevalent in the eyes of teenagers, but also the issues which come from high school in the era of Tiktok. TLDR is, Amazing twist from the generic fantasy while still being a very unique murder mystery.
