an incredibly lazy remake. I wonder where most of the budget went because it definitely wasn't the cgi, the atmosphere was dull and dark and some scenes were too scary for children viewing, also disregarding the excessively long runtime.
the story was altered to the point where it could no longer serve as a modern reimagining of a classic, it might as well have been a whole separate movie. if possible, save yourself the cost of a ticket and skip this one.
