Im just a gamer, but here are some of my impressions of the game thus far. Where do I start? It took me a little bit to get going but once I did, there game really showed itself. I had to figure out how the game mechanics were framed, but after that, it really started to open up.
Story: I dont usually care too much about the story of a game unless it balances well with the gameplay, but i think KCD2 is spot on in this area. I actually want to see what happens at the end of the narative, and i can have a blast of fun on the way.
Details: The attention to detail in this game is also very well done. It seemed like every new adventure revealed more amazing things to discover. Attention and care was applied in what seems like every corner. I can tell those who had a hand in the development truly loved what they were doing.
NPCs: Following on from this, the detail put in to all the NPCs in the game also added to the experience. I found myself actually enjoy the quests and side quests which is a rarity for me. And I thought all the side stories and characters interacted and crossed over very well with each other.
This is only four areas of the game: game mechanics, story, detail, and NPCs, and is by no means exhaustive of what makes up this masterpiece, but hopefully it will give someone an idea of my impressions of the game so far.
