I've seen the first two Predator movies, but I've not seen any Predator movies released since then, so I'm probably more of a casual fan. Predator: Badlands had a strong storyline. The visual effects were great. It immersed you in a foreign world and introduced you to indigenous species and plant life that all seem created to kill. Danger was EVERYWHERE. It was far more violent and graphic than a PG-13 rating would suggest. There is creative weaponry and some pretty creative violence. I enjoyed it. It's one of those films best experienced on the big screen.

I read The Long Walk story about 30 years ago. I don't recall all of the details from the story to perform a comparison between the story and movie like other reviewers might. I saw the movie at the theater and mostly enjoyed it. The acting was good. The director did a great job of creating the world that such a walk could exist in and seem believable. If you are looking for a feel-good movie, this isn't it. This movie does deliver on what its trailers sell.

This movie has a strong story line, great acting, and spectacular cinematography. Coming from the same team that brought Top Gun: Maverick to the big screen, this movie is a must see on the biggest, loudest movie theater you can find. Brad Pitt gives a strong performance. I'll likely see this movie at the theater again. Is this a flawless movie? No. It has pacing issues. Is it a solid, feel-good summer blockbuster? Absolutely.

Summary: A suspenseful, well-acted, but flawed movie that is still worth seeing. I came into Flight Risk with low expectations. The acting in the first 10 minutes seemed "off", but become good as the move progressed. Mark Wahlberg did a great job playing a psychotic hitman that seems to get too much enjoyment out of torturing others. To make a movie with three characters confined in a small space, travelling through the air, with one character intent on killing the others requires some creativity to work within the constraints of the setting. The move was suspenseful throughout. There are moments that have you on the edge of your seat. The problem with Flight Risk comes from careless plot devices where weapons or other items are recklessly left by one character for another character to take advantage of. This carelessness is overused and comes across as clumsy storytelling or makes the characters appear incompetent at times. You find yourself saying, "There is no way a federal agent would be that stupid as to do that!" I still think the move is generally good and worth seeing once. I can't see myself rewatching it.

An overall entertaining movie with characters that you care about and emotions that entertain you. As a Father's Day activity, I took my two kids who are both college-age. We all enjoyed it and had lots of laughs. Lately, Pixar's releases have been nowhere near as good as Pixar's earlier releases. Inside Out 2 is a quality movie. It's on par with the original Inside Out. If you liked the first one, you will like the sequel.

Acting was amazing. Directing was awesome. Nolan masterfully build suspenseleading up to the destination of the nuclear bomb. The soundtrack and sound design are incredible. Nolan has crafted an amazing movie. It's easily one of his better movies.

Mission Impossible 1 & 2 didn't really do much for me, but the rest of the series pulled me in. Dead Reconing Part 1 is no exception. Mission Impossible 7 has everything you've come to expect from the series. There are heart-pounding car chases, exotic location shoots, betrayals, high tech gadgetry, solid acting, dramatic stunts, and well-choreographed fights. Mission Impossible 7 delivers on all of this while somehow raising the bar and increasing the scale over previous entries in this series. Tom Cruise and the supporting cast all deliver solid performances. I highly recommend this movie.

This movie is far better than what the bashing by critics might lead you to believe it is. If you fear that it mightt be as disappointing as The Last Jedi was....it isnt. It's a far better movie that drove the audience at my screening to cheer and clap in appreciation at the conclusion. The visual effects and scale of the space battles is a huge leap from what we have seen before. This alone is worth seeing on the big screen. This does have flaws. Not unlike with The Force Awakens, JJ Abrams relies too much on recycling dialogue and plot points from the original trilogy. Even plot twists are borrowed from those original movies that true fans have watched over and over again and know inside out. All in all, Abrams has created a visually stunning roller coaster of a blockbuster movie that ambitiously strives to be the conclusion of not only the latest trilogy, but of all 9 Skywalker-focused movies...starting with A New Hope from 1977.
