I've read positive and less than positive reviews; which frankly I don't understand. I think the film is of extremely high quality in the story telling, the acting is superb, the cinematography and settings both domestic and landscape. These fine actors and the way their individual talents animate simple yet complex characters both singularly and within the ensemble is the quiet triumph. Nothing being said, or very little being said through these actors actually spoke volumes and became the poetry that carried this tale. An expose of family, relationships and the life long scars of indifference were poignant themes all against a backdrop of a beautiful and rugged coastline as a metaphor to life.
