Brilliantly written, takes risks, a level of complexity in it's story telling that is rarely, if ever, seen in video games (console ones at least probably), unfortunately it shows in the internets response.
People complaining about this are for the most part bigots or the sort of rabid fanatic fans that send death threats to the cast and crew of Star Wars films when things don't shape up they way they imagined in their heads. The same reason Hollywood pumps out so much safe, unoriginal sh*te.
Some people's criticisms will be valid, the majority seem to just be angry about diversity, or that the characters they idolised in the first game are depicted as regular humans with flaws and weaknesses who make mistakes.
