I had low expectations due to all the swings and misses the greater marvel movies have had outside of the side quests of Guardians and Deadpool. They were met. Ford, one of my favorite actors, did not well inhabit Thaddeus and the emotional scenes meant to set the tone of his character were some of the worst written aspects in all of marvel. Outside of that, the movie felt like a made for TV movie with low acting quality and failing to realize the grandeur of its counterparts. Its attempts to capitalize on what worked in Winter Solider were obvious and very poorly executed. I have officially decided I will no longer be seeing marvel movies opening weekend to send the appropriate market signals: get better!!
