Overall, massive disappointment. It feels like the creators know only the surface level reasons the original show succeeded, but misses the point entirely. The show kicks off with a classic daredevil one-shot fight scene that is frankly embarrassing.
Netflix daredevil knew the budget it had, and used that budget effectively. It feels like this new show is trying to punch above its weight class. It tries to do some truly ridiculous things with the fight scenes, but leans heavily on CGI, which it obviously doesn't have the budget for. This leads to some of the worst fight scenes I've seen recently, which is a far cry from what it used to be famous for on Netflix.
The writing feels incredibly juvenile. Most of the dialogue in the first episode is very obvious bad exposition, zero nuance. The actors seem to be doing the best they can with what they have, but the character writing feels super simplified and boring.
The cinematography is god-awful. Not much more to be said, it's just bad. The random inexplicable frame drops are jarring, the lighting feels like it wants to channel old daredevil, but with none of the talent, the sloppily shot fight scenes with CGI smoke covering everything look horrible, etc.
Not the worst show I've seen, but a huge disappointment, and a waste of time. Definitely don't get Disney+ for this
