Is the show good? It depends. I liked the movies and was in my late 30s at the time of their release. The movies are a fun family targeted adventure/clue-solving romp with a decent budget. The show, while riding the coattails of the film in mostly name only, doesn't feel anything like the movies. It doesn't have the budget (obviously) or acting power of the film, although it does reuse the FBI agent briefly from both films to get its story started. I read a few reviews before watching it comparing it to a CW show. I would have to agree with this. Most of the main characters are 20 somethings that all seem to be history experts except for one person who is apparently a hacker because they have a social media page. There are some puzzle solving and treasure-hunting elements which would pull my attention for a bit, but not enough for me to hang in there. If you are ages 16 to maybe mid-twenties you might like this show. If you are looking for a faster paced puzzle-solving action-adventure similar to the movies, this is going to feel pretty watered down.
