"Well, the way they tell the story is okay, but actually they didn't have a good story to place into the frame. The antagonist overshadowed the protagonist, but the issue is they didn't build a proper background for him. R Madhavan, besides all the other actors, did well.
The dialogues were too verbose. As a filmmaker, they should have taken care of the amount of words they placed in any actor's mouth. And for a craft like cinema, words aren't the perfect medium to explore the character and the story.
As 90% of the story revolves around how Madhavan hypnotizes that girl, but as a filmmaker, they failed to establish any certain relationship between them. The purpose of all those acts wasn't strong, which ultimately weakened the plot."
