Wide Peeposad – Google

I accidentally ended up watching this series but I can not be more happy, It does have a harsh and painful story and I'm sure these cruel things also happen in the reality more or less BUT easygoing relationship between main roles and light comedy (it definitely isn't a comedy but there is some bits thrown here and there) helps to lift up the atmosphere. Two last episodes was absolutely amazing and heartbreaking I was hoping that suk-beong will get justice and happy ending but I also wanted him to take revenge for the awful treatments he endured I won't spoil what happened next. Although this series speaks about a heavy topic and it's not easy to sit through it but you have to watch it it has excellent production from dialogues to the way they portrait every scene (it has very dark and gloomy atmosphere but it helps the aesthetic and topic of the story) and chemistry between roles is also great and overall I really enjoyed it although it was painful.

This movie has all the elements you expect from a historical film about an empire, a powerful emperor that is kind of ruthless, a rather blind follower of king that will turn agains him at some point , and the plotting for disthroning of the emperor... I think if I was in the emperor's place with all the power and all the people obeying me without question and agreeing with me all the time I would do the same or even worse... You can't expect from someone like an emperor to be calm and forgiving when is faced by betrayal of his love , This position requires selfishness and ruthlessness to some point, it's all to say that even tho his acts were wrong if he'd done any less it would be questionable for an emperor. As for the chief I think he has never known any love and intimacy except from king so his inexperience and the queen's virginity just clashed together and primary lust escalated into love quickly (althou I think the chief fell in love the first time they had sex because he could have done it without any kiss but he chose to kiss the queen's neck )they could have been a happy couple in another world but in this world their love was bound to end in tragedy. All in all I very much enjoyed this movie and my anxiety went throu roof towards end of the movie, definitely recommend everyone who is interested in this genre or not to watch it and the actor of the emperor absolutely rocked.
