Johnny Hannay

Terrific movie. As usual with John Woo, the action is always breathtaking. And no matter how outrageous the stunt, it never goes so far you are rolling your eyes. Omar and Nathalie make a great duo. And they didn’t go for the cheesy romance angle. Well worth the time.

It felt like Joe himself produced this, even though he’s been gone for a few years. It was self-congratulatory and vapid. There was no depth to it at all. The villain, based on Bob Hoffman, was cartoonish. The young actors seemed to have no grasp of who they were playing, or their contributions. There were also some controversies that surround the Weiders and how they treated certain athletes that were non-existent in the world of this film. This is an all around bad movie.
