I just watch "Burning Mystery". The catalytic converter is under the passenger side floorboard. Being stuck in the mud the victim racing the engine,high centered, probably blocked exhaust overheated the Cat til it caught on fire. The petroleum residue on the undercarriage helping the fire. (I have actually see this happen. Good to have a fire extinqusher in the shop.) The driver being drunk and high paniced.
