I have not read Three Pines as a Cozy Mystery format, although I like the genre. I tripped across the tv show last week while looking for something interesting to watch, and found it. I really enjoy the videography, scenes, lighting, and dialog without patter or push. The timing of characters' expressions are allowed to be viewed on their own and also allowed, against effective video, to develop without constant words. The series is sophisticated, artful and stands alone in value for me as a viewer.
