Aaron Judge IS the most important player on the Yankees. His lifetime slash: .278/.383/.563. His career OPS (by far the best measure of a baseball player's offense) is 5th all time for the NYY--- Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle and DiMaggio are the only Yankees higher. So absolutely, Judge is currently the best Yankee player. What's the big deal with calling him that? Also, batting average is the least understood statistic in the game. If another player hits .273, his OBP is .394 and he has a 118 RBI season, with 116 runs scored, he is much better in every offensive measure than the .302 hitter. Judge's career numbers compare with Hank Aaron, Mays, Clemente, almost anyone of MLB's greatest players. Baseball is like religion--many attend, few understand
